The Molinari company was founded in Tione di Trento in the 1980s, when Giorgio Molinari – aided by his son Massimo – established a company that conceived, designed and built quality leather sofas.

From Trento to the world

Hand-made craftsmanship, select leathers and care with every detail are the key elements of fine Made in Italy products that are valued all over the world. Right away, these elements became the calling card of Molinari on the international panorama of upholstered furniture.
In fact, the company reinterpreted Italian know-how in the best possible way to offer it to the world. Appreciated in the Benelux countries, Denmark, Germany and Austria, but also in Switzerland, France and Great Britain, the Molinari sofa and furnishing complements were soon successful in Asia and the United States as well.

The result is advanced, innovative solutions such as the patented Duoface upholstery cover that is revolutionizing the concept of the upholstered sofa by combining two types of covering – fabric/leather and fabric/fabric – in a single lining to meet modern demands for variety and change. For example, Molinari anticipated styles and environmental awareness by using chromium-free, vegetable tanned leather as early as the 1990s.

Molinari has taken part in Milan’s Salone del Mobile and other international events for the sector since 1987. It has also been featured by Elle Décor, AG Wishhouse, Witty Wohnen, Residence (Holland), Marie Claire, Gael Maison, Wiele Wohnen (Belgium) and AV (Germany).
